2024 Winter Drum Show - Student Recital

Another recital showcase in the books, people! With countless amounts of practice, I felt the collective student body was ready and eager to perform their pieces in the student recital.  This year was all about sharing the gift of music in lieu of the holiday season.  We get a little snapshot of each performer when they go up on stage and play their seleceted piece. Under the spotlight, the layers unfold as we witness the performer expressing themsleves through their song selection. It was wonderful seeing each student sharing a bit of themselves through the gift of music.

Great work to everyone who performed at the student recital.  Remember sharing music with others is a gift.  Over the holidays instead of asking routine questions about someone's job, consider asking them what they have been listening to this year.  It may spark a deeper connection as they open up and tell you why they listen to the songs that they listen to.  One of the coolest gifts in life is having someone show you a new artists or song that changes your mood or pushes you to live in a different way.  Challenge yourself by giving the gift of music by showing someone a new song, artist, album, or by playing an instrument for or with someone.  You never knew what types of new connections you can create.

Much love to everyone involved! Have a wonderful new year,

Eric Kummer
