This summer drum showcase was very successful and each student came ready to perform. On the day of the showcase, despite the internal nerves that often accompany live performances, each student appeared confident and focused. The more we perform for others the easier it gets. The atmosphere of the whole event was exciting as friends, family, and other students cheered on each performer. It is fun seeing the event getting bigger and the student body setting a higher standard for their performances. Collectilvey everyone did a wonderful job and the hard work paid off through many amazing performances throughout the evening.

Hard work truly pays off! A successful performance will be determined by the effort you invest in this instrument. One of the most effective ways to overcome nerves and stage fright is to be well-prepared. There are many elements that could affect the performance that we might overlook, such as the stage lights, the overall sound, the setup, the audience, our outfits, our equipment, and many other factors that we might not see coming. If any of these external factors disrupt the performance, we can rely on our muscle memory to take over. I believe each student performed exceptionally well, as their hard work led them to success. The collective group brought it this year, and as always, I had so much fun watching everyone play their piece. I hope all of you have a wonderful summer, and I am excited to take it to new levels for the next drum showcase.
Keep practicing! Continue to be amazing humans,
Eric Kummer
